Kunal has been playing drums as his principal instrument for the last 17 years. With over 500 shows with his band EKA, he has proven himself to be a versatile and talented performer time and time again, and had the honour to represent India at the Panama Jazz Festival.

He studied at the Drummer’s Collective, part of the Collective School of Music, in New York, studying under some of the best percussionists in the world. Kunal graduated from Drummers Collective in 2015 with a record score of 100 in Rudimental Skills. A strong foundation and tenacity in rudiments allows Kunal to effortlessly perform and teach styles like Reggae, Pop, Funk, African, Drum n Bass, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, Funk-Fusion and especially Jazz.

He is an innovative and hands-on teacher, and his passion for music is evident in his teaching.
